How do I schedule a tour?

Please schedule online here.  If you cannot find a time that works for your party you can reach out through email: 

We are not available for drop in tours. 


How do I hold a date?

Your date is not reserved until a contract is signed by both the bride and the groom and the deposit has been paid. 


How are payments made?


                   Cash or Check payments: 50% down payment at the time of booking. 

                                                                   Balance due 60 day prior to event 


                   Debit or Credit Card Payment Plans: 3.5% Processing Fee

5.5% Sales tax applied to all rentals.

$500 Security Deposit Check held. 

Do you have service or gratuity fees?

We do not charge any standard service fees or include any gratuity in our contracts.

Are there any minimums?

No. The Overlook Venue does not have bar minimums, catering minimums or guest count minimums.  We want our couples to have the most flexibility to stretch their budget for the best possible experience for their guests.  For this reason we do not have contracts for commissions with outside vendors.

How close are overnight accommodations?

The closest hotel is under 4 min away and they are planning a total renovation the winter of 2022/2023. The Audubon Hotel in Mayville is a 10 min drive Southeast of our venue. 

How many cars fit in your parking lot? 

We have two parking lots.  The one near the main entrance has 60 parking spaces and the 2nd lot near the farmhouse parks 20.  Anyone that arrives before the ceremony (typically wedding party, family, and vendors) park in the closer lot and other guests park in the larger lot.  Parking lot has commercial lighting for safety. 

What happens if its raining during the ceremony time?

Both ends of our venue look out over landscaped Wisconsin scenery that are framed by our lush voile curtains.  As with any wedding, it all comes down to teamwork and excellent communication.  If the forecast on Thursday is predicting a chance of rain we make sure that the chosen floor-plan will work with an indoor ceremony, with the guests seated at their tables.  We always support the decisions made by our couples and use all of our resources to make their plan happen!


Do you include china, silverware or glassware?
We do not include, nor do we require any of the above. 

Can we get a discount if we use less time or space?

No. We do not offer discounted rates in these situations as we only have one event at our venue per day.


Can our dog/s be a part of our ceremony? 

We are a dog friendly venue.  We ask that dogs be leashed at all times, that any mess they leave behind be cleaned up, and that someone other than the couple are responsible for their care and transport off the property after the ceremony. 

What time will we have access to decorate?

Decorating must be done within the rental time-frame listed in your contract.
